نعيمة pronounced [nah-ee-muh] - a female name of Arabic origin meaning ‘contentedness or tranquility’

I am a lifelong learner, Muslim, daughter, sister, auntie, birth keeper and educator. I love animals, adventure, music, travelling, and immersing myself in the natural world - all elements that I believe are contained within the experience of birth.

I come from a mixed-race heritage and have lived all over the glove. These experiences have provided me with a rich view of the world and the inter-connectedess of humanity that is contained within it which I cherish deeply.

I’m passionate about physiological birth and honouring women’s decisions to follow their natural rhythms of pregnancy and childbirth. Birth is a sacred, spiritual and divine rite of passage.

Women intrinsically have everything they need to birth their babies, but in the burden of today’s society, it can be hard to listen to the deep knowing within, so I am here for those who would benefit from the reminder.
